Town Hall Meeting

Town Hall Meeting 2021

In past years, the Town Hall Meeting has been an in-person community meeting, where the public and local dignitaries are invited to celebrate the successes from the previous year, and to learn what Picture Pittsfield volunteers have planned for the next year and beyond. But due to the ongoing pandemic, the 3rd Annual Town Hall Meeting launched in video format March 1 on PicturePittsfield.com and on the Picture Pittsfield Facebook and Instagram pages.

“With all of the planning and volunteer hours that go in to planning a successful Town Hall Meeting, we didn’t want to plan for an in-person event we might have to cancel just in case the health climate changed unexpectedly,” Picture Pittsfield President Jessica Guthrie said. “So, instead we opted for a video to share with the community, one they could view at their leisure.”

The Annual Picture Pittsfield Action Plan is also introduced at the Town Hall Meeting. Both the Town Hall Meeting Video and 2021 Action Plan links are below.

Town Hall Meeting 2019

Our inaugural Town Hall Meeting on February 28, 2019 was a huge success. The purpose of this town hall meeting was to inform the public about the projects the group is working towards and to recruit new volunteers for the group. Each committee had a booth set up and gave a short presentation to highlight their projects. Other speakers included the facilitators from the Illinois Institute of Rural Affairs, Mayor John Hayden, and state representative, C.D. Davidsmeyer.
